These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Dartrak mobile application ("the app", "Dartrak") and the purchase of Dartrak Pro. By downloading, installing or using the app, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
These Terms come with our Privacy Policy (privacy-policy.en.html), which forms an integral part of them.
1. Publisher
The app is published by:
- Pixware Studio, the publisher's trade name (sole proprietorship, France)
- Full identity, registration and address: see the legal notice on pixware.app (in French)

(hereinafter "we", "our", "us").
2. Acceptance and capacity
- By using the app, you declare that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
- The app is intended for a general audience (content rating PEGI 3 / "Everyone"). If you are a minor, you must use it under the responsibility of a parent or guardian, in particular for any purchase.
- The account and cloud-sync features (section 6) require you to be at least 15 (the age of digital consent in France) or the equivalent age in your country, or the consent of a holder of parental authority.
3. Licence to use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not transfer any ownership right in the app to you.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to, and not to allow any third party to:
- copy, modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the app, except to the extent permitted by mandatory law;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent expressly permitted by law;
- distribute, rent, lend, resell or commercially exploit the app;
- circumvent, disable or compromise the security measures or the paid features;
- use the app for unlawful purposes or contrary to these Terms.
5. Local operation, no account needed
- Dartrak works offline by default, without creating an account. Your game data is stored locally on your device.
- No sign-in or registration is required to use the app's free core.
6. Account and cloud sync (optional)
- You can sign in with Google to use friends and, with Dartrak Pro, the sync of your games. This layer stays inert until you sign in.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the activity carried out through your account. Only record a guest's name with their consent: it is part of the synced games.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account & sync) or from delete-account.en.html.
- The processing of the related data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Your data and backups
- Your local data belongs to you and stays under your control. The app offers an export / import feature for your backups.
- You are responsible for backing up your data. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the loss of local data resulting from uninstalling the app, or from the loss or failure of your device.
- Android may also back up the app's database automatically to your Google account, depending on your phone's settings (see the Privacy Policy, §7). Google manages that backup and it is not guaranteed: export your data if it matters to you.
8. Score accuracy and game rules
- Dartrak is a scoring and training aid. Voice entry and camera scoring are features in test: they can be wrong or miss a dart. It is up to you to check every visit. Dartrak cannot serve as an official referee for a competition.
- Dartrak applies the rules published by governing bodies (PDC / WDF) for information. Dartrak is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the PDC, the WDF or any other darts organisation. The trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.
9. Physical safety
Darts are sharp objects. You use the app as part of a physical activity: play responsibly, in a suitable and safe environment, and keep your phone out of the darts' path. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for injury, property damage or harm resulting from playing darts or from using your device during play.
10. Intellectual property
The app, its code, design, texts, graphics and sounds are protected by intellectual property law and belong to us or are used under licence. No right is granted to you beyond the licence to use in section 3.
11. Third-party and open-source components
The app includes third-party and open-source components, governed by their own licences. Camera scoring relies on a detection model trained, among others, on the DeepDarts dataset (McNally et al., 2021, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence). The attributions are shown in the app (Settings → About → Credits & licences).
12. Third-party services and distribution platforms
- The app is distributed through Google Play, whose terms apply in addition to these Terms, in particular for payment and refunds.
- Some features rely on third-party services: Google sign-in, cloud hosting (Supabase), purchase management (RevenueCat), your system's speech recognition. Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
13. Terms of sale — Dartrak Pro
13.1 Subject
Dartrak Pro is digital content sold in the app as a one-time purchase (no subscription). It unlocks the features described on the Dartrak Pro screen at the time of purchase, including the features in test (camera scoring, voice entry), cloud sync of your games, advanced statistics, replay, friends' statistics and the game-mode pack. Dartrak's game core is and will remain free and does not depend on this purchase.
13.2 Price and payment
- The price is shown including all taxes in the app and on Google Play at the time of purchase, in your country's currency.
- Payment is processed exclusively by Google Play. The sales contract is formed when Google Play confirms your payment.
13.3 Delivery and duration
- Dartrak Pro is delivered immediately once the payment is confirmed.
- The purchase is tied to your Google Play account: you can restore it on another Android device signed in to the same account ("Restore" button on the Dartrak Pro screen).
- "Lifetime" means the whole period during which the app and its updates are available.
- The features in test may change, be improved or replaced; they are presented as such before the purchase.
13.4 Right of withdrawal
- Under French law, a consumer normally has 14 days to withdraw from a purchase (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code).
- This right cannot be exercised for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium whose performance has begun with your prior express consent and your express waiver of your right of withdrawal (article L221-28, 13°).
- Before any payment, the Dartrak Pro screen asks you to tick a box, unticked by default: "I ask for Dartrak Pro to be provided immediately, and I acknowledge that I thereby waive my 14-day right of withdrawal." The purchase button stays inactive until the box is ticked. Dartrak Pro being provided as soon as the payment is confirmed, you no longer have a right of withdrawal for that purchase.
- Google Play sends you the confirmation of your order. It does not replace the legal conformity guarantee (§13.6) or the refunds described in §13.5.
13.5 Refunds
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's rules: you can request one from your Google Play account (https://support.google.com/googleplay).
- You can also write to support@pixware.app: we review every request, in particular when a technical problem prevents you from using Dartrak Pro.
13.6 Legal guarantees
You benefit from the legal conformity guarantee for digital content (articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). Features presented as "in test" are assessed in light of that presentation.
14. Availability, updates and changes
We may change, update, suspend or discontinue all or part of the app. We strive to keep it working properly but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
15. Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind (including fitness for a particular purpose or absence of errors). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your mandatory rights as a consumer (including the legal conformity guarantee), which remain fully applicable.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for loss of data or profits. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, personal injury, or in any other case where the law forbids it.
17. Termination
The licence ends automatically if you breach your obligations under these Terms. You may stop using the app, uninstall it and delete your account at any time. The sections meant to survive (intellectual property, warranties, liability, governing law) remain in force after the licence ends.
18. Governing law, disputes and mediation
- These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of habitual residence in the European Union.
- In the event of a dispute, please contact us first to seek an amicable solution.
- Under the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge to settle a dispute with us amicably. The mediator's name and contact details will be given on this page before sales of Dartrak Pro open.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms to reflect changes in the app or in the regulations. Material changes will be flagged by the date above. The terms of sale applicable to a purchase are those in force on the date of that purchase.
20. Miscellaneous
- If a provision is held invalid, the others remain applicable.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app and Dartrak Pro.
- Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
